Who are they:
Shrine Knights from the game Final Fantasy Tactics. Quite possibly Vormav's (the Shrine Knight leader) right- and left-hand men. Rofel is about 37 years old; Kletian is 27.

Why we like them:
There's something intriguing about these two. They work for the church, are probably quite religious. That would in theory mean their relationship wouldn't probably be taken that well by the church. But... but.

Kletian's last words are, "Forgive me, Rofel." Why? Why was he so fanatic about that? Because our theory is, in the yaoi sense or not, that Kletian loved Rofel. He also said he can't face Rofel (in hell - that's what it says in the Japanese version, according to littlemaiko) unless he beats Ramza.

...Kletian, you first state, "So Rofel's been defeated." Yes, Rofel is dead. Even if you win, how are you going to "face" him? By killing yourself, apparently, because that's the only way. And while we're on the subject, why would you end up in hell? Unless...

...Yes, this pairing is almost in the in-game dialogue.

Anyway. Rofel and Kletian obviously worked for Vormav, and were among those the knight leader most trusted. They were obviously very loyal to Vormav; his goals were more important to them than those of the church. They still helped Vormav after he made a little deal with Hashmalum (when this happened is not stated in the game, but our theory is, within the last year or so) and started the whole Ajora reviving deal.

We love knights. We also like bad guys, which puts Vormav to very high place on the "favorite FFT characters" list. These two... are just so damn adorable. And the religious setting of FFT opens up so many possibilities...

Our setting:
Two Shrine Knights, living in Murond Holy Place. Rofel is Vormav's right-hand man, and Kletian is his trusted assistant and best friend. Kletian is very religious and sometimes has problems accepting the fact that he loves Rofel. Meanwhile, Rofel has accepted the fact that he may end up in hell because he loves Kletian.

In the setting, Vormav may or may not know that these two are lovers. Most likely he knows, but simply ignores the fact.
